Well, the bike is ready, the weather is nice, it’s time to ride! As Christophe arrives in 4 days we plan to ride 3 days around Santiago with Nico. First lunch stop in San Jose de Maipo.

Bon, la moto est arrivée et remontée, il fait beau, il est temps de rouler! Comme Christophe nous rejoint dans 4 jours, on prévoit de rouler 3 jours avec Nico autour de Santiago. Premier arrêt déjeuner à San Jose de Maipo.

On the way to the hot springs, the road and then the track are amazing. It is perfect for Nico’s bike run-in!

Sur le chemin des bains thermaux, la route puis la piste sont magnifiques. Parfait pour le rodage de la moto de Nico!

And here are the hot springs. The scenery is great and the water temperature ideal.

Et voila les bains thermaux. La vue est top, la température de l’eau idéale.

First camping spot in South America.

Et c’est notre premier camping en Amérique du Sud. 

In the morning we are invited to eat deer’s meat for breakfast.

Au réveil nos voisins nous invitent à manger de la viande de cerf pour le petit-déjeuner.

On the way to Valparaiso we stop for the night in a construction site, the owner and the workers are very nice with us.

Sur le chemin de Valparaiso nous nous arrêtons pour la nuit dans un chantier de construction, le propriétaire et les ouvriers sont très sympas avec nous.

It is super comfy, we can even watch a movie in our beds!

C’est super confortable, on peut même regarder un film au lit!

Here we are in Valparaiso, harbor city fallen in disuse after the opening of the Panama Canal.

Et nous voici à Valparaiso, ville portuaire tombée en désuétude lors de l’ouverture du canal de Panama.

Laure enjoys a warm coffee.

And Nico enjoys his sex-appeal while it’s not raining…

Et Nico fait son malin tant qu’il ne pleut pas…

We go back to Santiago through the coast cordillera.

Retour à Santiago par la cordillère de la côte.

Once back in Santiago Laure runs Santiago 10 kms with Juanita while Christophe’s plane is landing

De retour à Santiago Laure participe aux 10 kms de Santiago avec Juanita alors que Christophe atterrit.

To define the mood of the trip we spend the evening at the mall sport where I won the car race 😉

Pour définir l’ambiance du voyage nous passons la soirée au mall sport et je gagne la course!

 

 

The artificial wave seems fun to surf but we don’t try.

La vague artificielle a l’air sympa à surfer mais nous n’essayons pas.

The day after we spend some time in a garage to be sure that Christophe doesn’t get bored during his first day of holidays and then we go!

Le jour suivant nous passons un peu de temps au garage pour ne pas laisser Christophe s’ennuyer pendant son premier jour de vacances et c’est parti
